Our guide and driver were very sweet and informative and kept us posted every step of the way. I am very glad we went with this tour being that we only had one night in the area. We were able to see everything we sought out to see.

Best way to book a local organized bus tour to maximize seeing as many of the monasteries as possible. Stopped at several beautiful look out points for the perfect photo opportunities. We greatly enjoyed this tour and were glad we chose this hassle and stress free option as driving and parking around the sights can be challenging especially during peak season. The price of 24 Euro was very reasonable for this wonderful experience.

Local travel agent was excellent going beyond what was expected to make sure I finally joined my tour after a harrowing experience getting to my destination. I could not... read more access my train tickets on the email sent to me by TripAdvisor so I had to buy my own tickets which got me to the destination 90 minutes after my tour started. Thank you to Chris at the local travel agency in Kalambaka who drove me up the mountain to join my tour so I only missed one monastery. Tour was excellent, great explanations of this unique area.

Pick-up from Kalabaka train station was quick and easy. We avoided the long queries at the entrances of the monasteries. Maybe we were just lucky or maybe the tour itself was organized really smoothly. The guide also was great.
Even though it would be great to have more time in each monastery, it is the best what you can do when traveling from Athens and back on the same day.

We visited the Saint Stephen's Nunnery (the Holy Monastery of Agios Stefanos) and a hidden gem - the byzantine church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary. It is astounding that this precious holy place remains somewhat under the radar and in the shadow of monasteries hovering above. The artwork and frescoes are beautiful and unique and the whole effect of the church is magical. A truly hidden gem and the most spectacular part of a sunset tour of Meteora. Of course, watching a magnificent sunset made for the perfect end to a perfect day.

As a kind of drawback, they do not enter with you to the monasteries to explain from inside. They let you to enter on your own to visit it, with a prior explanation of everything. Although it was a good explanation with plenty detail, someone might prefer them to enter with you. As for me, I liked it because like that you can spend time on those places you liked the most and the visit is not so

The food was expensive and pretty basic. Discovering that the food was not included in the visit was not very nice. It is these kind of situation were you read the conditions of a trip and when you are offer a promotion with special price, you assume that this was included and it is not.

Giannis the tour guide was a true professional explaining everything in detail and in the best manner.

We were a group with 2 children and we were concerned the tour could be boring for them, but the guide went all out to attract their attention with with... read more curious facts about the monks' life in the past. The presentation was very informative and the mini-bus was comfortable and air-conditioned which helps a lot after going up and down the steps to the monasteries on a hot July day. We greatly appreciated the tips about the best photos spots.
