Our friends who have been to Meteora complimented us on the pictures that my wife shared on Facebook. Chris is an excellent photographer (very important to my wife) and knows all of the places. I highly recommend Chris and this tour. Book early so you can reserve 1st class train tickets since these seats are limited.

Our guide Giorgia explained everything she knows along the hike, the things we see. it was fruitful and gained a lot of knowledge through the hike, besides you see the views and takes the road that less people taken.

If you have limited time, go for hiking tour! It just worth it.

Great visit, excellent customer service - Best customer service they gave us. We reached Kalambaka an hour later than the scheduled tour time due to a mistake in our train booking, confusion with Larissa and Athens... read more Larissa main train station.
They sent their mini bus to pick us up from their office at the foothill and continue to join with the tour.
Both the driver and our tour guide was super friendly, driver made few photo shoot stops for us and bit of guided commentary on the monasteries and guide was very knowledgeable of Meteora's history and geological past.
We would highly recommend Metora Thrones if you are making your vacation plans.

My (teenage) daughters and I did the Hiking Meteora Tour in the morning/ early afternoon and the Sunset Tour in the late afternoon/evening. Both guides were VERY knowledgeable and made... read more sure that everyone in our group (the hiking tour included younger children than mine as well) was entertained. During the hiking tour, we learned loads about the geology of Meteora, mythology, history and botanics. During the Sunset Tour, we took a shuttle to many gorgeous places I would not have found on my own (for example, the Byzantine Church of the Assumption of the Virgin in the town of Kalambaka - it is absolutely STUNNING). Both tours were extremely interesting and I can highly recommend them for all age groups. We were picked up from our hotel on time and got dropped off in front of our hotel again after the tours. Communication with Meteora Thrones was very smooth and I would definitely book with them again if I come to the area! Fantastic Trip - Unfortunately due the the serious flooding in the region we were unable to take the train but the tour company arranged for coach pickup opposite the train station. It... read more was quite a long journey but there was a stop halfway for refreshments etc. Once at Kalambaka we were transferred to a smaller coach to visit the Monastaries. Ther views were absolutely spectacular. Depending on the Monastatries visisted can have 100 to 300 steps to climb but you can take your time. It is well worth the journey time to see the wonderful area and to view inside the impressive buildings.

Family trip. Excellent guide. Pictures dont do it justice. Hotel was comfortable. A highlight of our trip.
