This Digital Projection of Meteora Museum in Kalabaka has created a new reality for the tourism visitors of Meteora and the wider region. This infrastructure allows the visitor to navigate to Meteora, its wider area and its geomorphological peculiarity, while in a 3D room of approximately 110 cinema-level seats, visitors are able to experience the unique phenomenon of Meteora rocks.
The Planetarium of Meteora is open daily from Monday to Friday, with 3 projections of 3D films (half an hour in total) on 11:00-12:00 and 13:00 and 2 on Saturdays on 12:00 and 13:00. The Museum opening hours: Monday to Friday: 9:30-14:30 and Saturday 10:30 – 13:30.
The main objective of this project is to promote the region as a tourist destination through new technologies, upgrading to the tourism product of Thessaly.
